STX Pan Ocean first offered car carriage service in the early 70's with four LO/LO type
car/bulk carriers and in 1988 took major steps to expand our business by newbuilding
of
four Pure Car and Truck Carriers. These modern vessels,
each with a carrying capacity of
6500 units of RT-43 type vehicles, are the largest and most versatile of their type afloat.
Besides greatly enhancing our capacity to participate in the worldwide transportation
of automobiles, our specialized staff is able to employ STX Pan Ocean's car carrier's unique
design features to accommodate the carriage of self-propelled cargoes of virtually every
shape, size and weight.
We are opreating 5 vessels (1 Vessels with a capacity of 6700 units which be delivered in June 2010, 2 Vessels with a capacity of 6,500 units and 2 Vessel with a capacity of 4,900 units). Three PCTCs with a capacity of 6,700 units ordered in 2006 are under construction. Furthemore, we will continue to streng then our position as a specialty car carrier service provider through securing an optimum fleet and developing new markets in the globe.
